That Little Voice

I was inspired when I first heard depression labeled as a “little voice” in one’s head. Coming out of depression, that little voice went away, and it was a massive relief. I didn’t even realize how it affected me until it was gone. I wrote this poem to reflect on that experience and how if I see it in others, I will do my best to be there for them as I wish someone was there for me.
