Inside/Outside

Inside/Outside is an exploration of hidden inner turmoil during times of outward composure. The impact of masking and burying our struggles with mental illness due to societal stigma is unmeasured and unmatched. This piece was inspired by the duality that each of us encounter in performing for others. This double exposure of a model signifies the artist's struggles with Bipolar Disorder: the shock of the diagnosis, the freedom of understanding, and every shade of grey in between.
