Cold Rain

This is one of the more recent pieces that I made. I have been working on a series of pieces about mental health since the pandemic began. Specifically I have been focusing on feelings of isolation and depression. I work mainly with india ink, graphite, and fine liners. I feel like the contrast of black and white is a good way to give off the feeling that I am trying to emote. Why I choose to draw negative things is that it may show other people that dark thoughts are common and normal and that there can still be beauty in the representation of those feelings.
