Expectation vs Reality (all 4)

My personal journey with mental health is what inspired me to do these photos. For a long time I felt like no one really saw or understood what was going on underneath my mask. I also felt as though I had to put on a mask so that I wouldn’t be a burden to the people around me. But it was hard because all I wanted was to feel seen. All I wanted to do was scream and cry and say “can’t you see how much pain I’m in.” I hope when someone looks at this picture they feel seen and feel that they’re not alone.
