Help Me Help You

Mental illness runs in my family. My late father first, and then my twin brother. My brother has been missing in Austin since 03/27/2019 after having a psychotic break. Because my brother is an adult, and not suicidal, and no foul play is suspected, we have to accept that he left on foot, and vanished without a trace. Just gone. Not to be heard from again by family, or friends. I have done all that I can. I have submitted DNA to namus.gov. I have made police reports. My brother has severe paranoid delusions, and was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2005. He refused to stay on his medication. My story is one of many.

I would hope viewers would see that mental health not only affects the individual, but the loved ones and families of the individual as well. I put all my feelings of the situation into this painting. Sadness, anticipation, frustration, hope, and acceptance. Thank you
