My Nights

I have been battling anxiety and panic attacks for years. I painted My Nights in October of 2019. In this painting I have painted myself as a donkey in severe distress. The devils represent my almost nightly panic attacks and the pigs represent my anxieties and how they tear me apart. The church represents hope. I want the viewer to feel anxiety when viewing this painting. I am an oil painter so this painting has been done in oil and is 48X36 inches. In January of 2020 I began to seek medical care. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia as a result of my stress, depression and anxiety. I now have a therapist and a psychiatrist. I am on the road to recovery.
