Two Connecting Canvases, Oil Painting

Mental health and its’ management are a part of my life. As person with Bipolar II and major depressive episodes, life can present challenges. Why does mental health matter to me? Because it is me. I am it. The struggle, self-advocacy, and self-agency is what comes from respecting that mental health – and it’s continuous journey - will be an important aspect of your life.
Wish is a self-portrait of myself wishing the puzzle pieces of my mental stability were solved. So much of having a disability surrounded by negative mental health can be debilitating. Sometimes, a wish is all that I have.
