This is a poem I wrote late one night, talking about the troubles that go through my brain every day. I write poetry often, and it’s usually about my mental health.

My emotions, they feel so intense.
My anger, it doesn’t make sense.
Emotions hurt. My teeth, they clench.
And so I hate my stupid brain.
Forgetful, stupid, useless head,
Laying wide awake atop my bed.
Seeing lights, white, orange, red.
And so I hate my stupid brain.
Anxiety makes me feel so bad.
Endless encounters I have had
Lashing out and feeling mad.
And so I hate my stupid brain.
The world, it hates me, so I thought.
It really just wants to rot.
If nothing’s needed, something’s still bought.
And so I hate my stupid brain.
Make goals and fail them instantly.
Decent’s not good enough for me.
Smallest things make me so angry.
And so I hate my stupid brain.
